Coolest Hidden iPhone Tricks | Part 1

Even though you use your iPhone all the time, you may not realize that there are so many incredibly useful features that are hidden!  Here are just a few, but I will be sharing more over the next couple weeks.

Note: I have an iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 14.3 installed

Make Speakers Louder

Enhance your iPhone’s speakers by selecting Late Night in the EQ Music Settings. Late night instantly makes sounds louder since it turns up quiet sounds.

Go to Settings → Music → EQ → Select ‘Late Night’

Charge Faster

Make your phone charge faster by turning on Airplane Mode before connecting your charger. Since Airplane Mode disables your phone's ability to connect to cellular, wifi, or Bluetooth. Your phone will use far less power and your phone will recharge a lot faster.

Turn on Airplane Mode (Through your Control Center) → Charge your phone

You will know it is turned on when the Airplane mode icon turns orange.

Custom Charging Sounds

Watch my YouTube Video on how to do this!

Now this is a really cool one! Tired of the common charging sound and want to spice it up a little? This trick lets you customize your charging sound when you connect your phone to the charger. Make your phone say something simple like “Phone is charging” when it is plugged in, or make it something funny!

Here is how to do that:

  • Go to shortcuts

  • Tap Automation on the bottom of the screen

  • Tap create personal automation (If you already have them set up, tap the plus sign on the top right corner to add another one)

  • Select ‘Charger’

  • Select 'is Connected'

  • Next

  • Add Action

  • Search And Select 'speak Text'

  • Type What You Would Like The Phone To Say

  • Tap the Play button on the bottom Right

  • Next

  • Disable Ask Before Running

  • Done

Code Scanner

With the pandemic, a lot of restaurants are using QR codes for a digital menu. Rather than using your camera app to take a photo, use your iPhone’s build in Code Scanner app for a more sophisticated QR code scanning experience.

Search for the app 'Code Scanner' → Scan Qr Code
